Job opportunity: Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Climate and Application, Institute for Climate and Application Research (ICAR), NUIST, Nanjing, China

The Institute for Climate and Application Research (ICAR) at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) is seeking to appoint a number of highly motivated Postdoctoral research scientists to climate dynamics, climate model development, climate prediction, and climate application. The successful candidates will perform independent research, provide support for projects carried out within ICAR, and apply for research funds independently or jointly with team members.

JPI Oceans launches call for research proposals on microplastics in the marine environment.

JOINT CALL FOR PROPOSALS ON MICROPLASTICS IN THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

 

The deadline for submitting proposals is 28.02.2019, 12:00 CET

 

Twelve JPI Oceans member countries together with Brazil launch a call for transnational research projects of approx. 9.2 M€ to study the sources, distribution and impact of microplastics in the marine environment.

Training course on a suite of biogeochemical sensors, 10-21 June 2019, Kristineberg, Sweden

IOCCP and EU BONUS INTEGRAL Project (Integrated carboN and TracE Gas monitoRing for the bALtic sea) are organizing a 10-day international training course on "Instrumenting our ocean for better observation:a training course on a suite of biogeochemical sensors."

 

The course will be held on June 10-21, 2019 at the Sven Lovén Center for Marine Sciences, in Kristineberg, Sweden.

 

Application process will open in mid-December 2018.
